Grief Ceremony

When I think of the baby I carried, I also think of what I would have loved to share with them: something nourishing to eat, a song, a little sweetness. From this love, I offer a ceremony guided by Andean tradition to honour a baby whose time with us ended during pregnancy, whether through miscarriage or abortion.

Each person is invited to bring a food they would have loved to share with their baby. Inspired by the Mexican tradition of Día de Muertos, we offer it as an invitation for them to be present with us that day, giving something of our everyday life to someone we wished to know a little longer.

Anyone who feels drawn to this ceremony is welcome. If you went through this with your partner, you are welcome to come together. If this resonates with you, write to me. We can also shape the ceremony around another loss you would like to honour.
