WALKING WITH YOU

Doula care
that feels like your own.

I’m here to help you remember what you already know, the wisdom your soul, body and mind already carry. Sometimes we just need to give it space, to let those memories, that wisdom, come forward, and begin to trust them, for yourselves and for your baby.

So you can welcome your baby from the altar of the wise person within you, the one who celebrates and finds joy in welcoming this life, and in welcoming yourself through all the changes it brings.

Every person, every couple carries their own story. I want to hear yours, so the way I accompany you can grow from what you need, both together and individually, even before conception, and through pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

To honour this process, we can also create ceremonies together, opening a space where you feel held with care and love. Each ceremony is personal, shaped around what you are living and what you wish for.

If you would like me beside you during this time, write to me. I’d love to hear your story.

WHY A DOULA?

To feel
accompanied.

Pregnancy already brings so many emotions, for you as a couple and for the people around you. There is a reason I speak of pregnancy as medicine. It is like opening a portal. Things begin to change within you and around you, and you find yourselves meeting parts of yourselves through it. How you hold each other, how you trust, how you continue loving and caring for your relationship while everyday life carries on.

And alongside all of this, there is so much that perhaps no one has ever explained to you. The practical side of being pregnant and preparing for birth. A midwife, kraamzorg… what do you need? What choices do you have? Who can help you understand what to eat or which supplements you might need? Where do you begin?

All of this happens, and more, while you are welcoming a life.

This is where I want to accompany you. To help you hold what comes, find answers and work through things together, according to what brings you peace. Sometimes that means sitting down with a list of things to organise. Sometimes it means talking about what has been difficult, what is changing between you, or what this baby’s arrival means to you.

We make room for the practical, emotional and spiritual parts of welcoming a life, and for enjoying it. I want you to have time to feel the beauty of what you are living, to find moments of peace and to enjoy becoming parents, from conception through postpartum.

FOR YOUR PARTNER, TOO

Room to be
close to each other.

Even without carrying the belly and the baby, your partner is going through so many changes too. My care gives them a central place. I want to know how they are, how this medicine is moving through them. To grow into being a parent, they also need somewhere to feel held.

From conception and throughout pregnancy, we spend time with both of you. How can I support you? How can you enjoy this together, as a team? You are discovering a new way of relating to each other, and I want us to give that time and attention, so your love and connection can grow along with your baby.

During birth, my role is to make room for that closeness. I take care of the things around you so your partner can stay connected to you, hold you and give you their attention. I want you both to be able to live this moment together, and I look for ways to make that possible.

And then comes postpartum. How do we hold this little baby? How do we give them a bath? There is so much to discover together. Here too, I want to help you recognise the knowledge you carry, the care that has passed through generations, while making room to learn and practise with your own baby.

Little by little, each of you finds your place in this family you are becoming. I want you both to feel supported in that, and to have time to enjoy your baby and each other.
