DOULA SUPPORT · LEIDEN AND THE HAGUE

Doula in Leiden and The Hague.
A place to feel supported.

I’m Kiki Hipp, the doula behind Macayotl. I support women and couples from conception through pregnancy, birth and postpartum in Leiden, The Hague and the surrounding area. We can speak English, Spanish, German or Portuguese.

Perhaps you are building your family far from where you grew up. Perhaps you want to make room for nature, your traditions and what you are feeling as you become a mother. I would love to meet you and hear what feeling cared for means to you.

Let’s get to know each other

Our first conversation is free. We can talk about the support you would like and my availability.

How I can accompany you

Around conception

You can come to me while you are still hoping for a baby. We can talk about what this time is like for you and your partner, and the care you would like as you begin.

During pregnancy

Space to talk about how you are experiencing this time, prepare questions and explore the support you would like. Your partner has a place in our conversations too.

During birth

Presence, listening and practical support for you and your partner, at home or in hospital. We agree on availability and the scope of your support beforehand.

After your baby arrives

Time to listen to your experience, acknowledge the changes and talk about the care you need in this new stage of your life.

Nature, tradition and your own way of living it

My learning in traditional midwifery knowledge shared by Indigenous communities in Latin America shapes my understanding of care. I continue learning with respect for the people and communities who share this knowledge.

We can make room for your roots, for quiet, for a ceremony or for a conversation. You do not need to share a spiritual belief or choose a particular way to give birth. You decide what feels meaningful to you; I support your choices alongside the midwife and medical team responsible for your clinical care.

  3. We agree on your care, dates, travel and price before you book.

Questions you might bring

Do you offer Spanish-speaking support in Leiden and The Hague?

Yes. I’m based in Leiden and you can write to me in Spanish about care in Leiden, The Hague and the surrounding area. We confirm availability and travel for each family.

Do I need to want a natural birth to work with you?

No. I support your decisions at home or in hospital, including if you choose pain relief or your birth plan changes.

Does a doula replace a midwife?

No. My support is emotional and practical. Your midwife and medical team provide clinical care.

Can I book a ceremony without birth support?

Yes. Any of my ceremonies can be booked on its own. You’re welcome to write to me about the one you feel drawn to.

How much does your support cost?

Our first conversation is free. The price of your care depends on the service, visits, availability and travel. You receive a proposal before you decide.

When to reach out and how ceremony fees are credited

I would love to hear your story.
